Start with your CPP estimate
Use the monthly age-65 amount from your CPP statement, then choose three ages to compare.
The first payment is modeled one month after each selected start age. Payments are held flat for a clear timing comparison.

What the trade-off means
Starting earlier means smaller monthly payments for more years. Starting later means larger monthly payments for fewer years. The catch-up age shows when a later option’s running total first reaches an earlier option’s total; it does not say which age is best for you.
The age-65 estimate is adjusted by 0.6% for each month before 65 or 0.7% for each month after 65. This simple comparison does not model inflation increases, taxes, OAS, investing, survivor benefits, QPP, or future contributions. Read about CPP start ages.
